Good morning, folks!
Let’s begin with the another example that strongly indicates Democratic voters have essentially made up their mind up about this race:
New NBC/WSJ national poll has Joe Biden surging ahead to a massive +29 lead over Bernie Sanders.
The poll also has Biden leading Trump 52% - 43% in a head-to-head matchup this fall. It’s no wonder why the orange menace wanted Joe out.
No change at The Green Papers, which still shows Biden’s pledged delegate lead at +163.
According to poll forecaster Harry Enten, Biden is poised to add a significant amount of delegates to his lead. After next week’s contests, he estimates a +350 lead for Biden.
A critical endorsement prior to Tuesday’s primary contest’s: The National Education Association, the largest union in the nation is backing Biden.
NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia, whose union tops 3 million members, called Biden a “tireless advocate for public education” and “the partner that students and educators need now in the White House.”
…..
Biden’s proposals come with an estimated $850 billion price tag over 10 years. Among other ideas, he calls for universal access to pre-kindergarten programs for 3- and 4-year olds; tripling Title I spending for schools with higher concentration of students from low-income households; federal infrastructure spending for public school buildings; and covering the cost of schools’ compliance with federal requirements for teaching students with disabilities. Biden also opposes taxpayer money being routed to for-profit charter school enterprises.
Eskelsen Garcia singled out proposals to support “low-income communities where the need is the highest.”
Check out this short heartwarming video of Joe adopting the newest member of his family from the Delaware Humane Association, Major Biden the German Shepherd.
**Thanks to randym77 in comments for letting me know this is from 2018. Still a very cool video.
A president who actually loves animals would be wonderful thing. If you have any Biden campaign news you want to share, please feel free to do so in comments.
I hope everyone has a great day. Go Joe!
